PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities are warning Arizona residents of an Internet scam that involves fake checks that sellers are asked to cash with the promise of extra money. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office say that in a recent case in Paulden, a seller on Craigslist received a check from a buyer but it was for much more than the agreed price.
