Resolved Question: Prescott Arizona - geological / insect hunting?

Here's a relatively strange question that I'm not expecting anybody to be able to answer, but I hope somebody can. =) I am visiting Prescott, AZ (Prescott valley to be specific) in a few days, and was wondering if there are any places in the area to find anything interesting. And by interesting, I mean rocks/gems and insects such as desert millipedes.
